Nineteenth Century Libraries of Warner, New Hampshire

From the Early Social Libraries to the Children's Branch of the Pillsbury Free Library 1796-1900

2011 was the 120th anniversary of the Dedication of the Pillsbury Free Library.  George A. Pillsbury gifted the Library and his wife, Margaret, and their two sons, Charles and Fred, gifted over 4,000 new books to the residents of Warner on October 2, 1891.  The opening day was four months later, on February 6, 1892.
