                  Our Mission

The mission of the Warner Historical Society is to bring together people interested in the history of Warner, NH, to identify and preserve landmarks, documents, artifacts, and other items of historical significance to the town, to keep alive our heritage by recording the history and incidents of the past and present, and to support education about the history of Warner.

The Warner Maple Festival! 
Saturday and Sunday
March 21 and 22, 2026

Pancake Breakfast, Tours of Sap Houses and a Maple Syrup Tasting Contest!
  • Warner’s maple producers join with the town’s organizations and businesses to create a town-wide maple celebration. 
  • Join us for a Maple Pancake Breakfast both on Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 am to 11 am brought to you by the United Church of Warner and the Warner Historical Society.  Breakfast features maple syrup made in Warner.
  •  Six sap houses will be demonstrating how they turn sap into maple syrup and other maple treats: Baker’s Syrup, Courser Farm, Kearsarge Gore Farm, Nulhegan Abenaki Maple Syrup, Rogers Maple Syrup, and What’s Sappenin.  Each sap house has a unique personality so you’ll want to visit as many as you can. 
  • Maps will be available at the Town Hall, Pillsbury Free Library, Main Street BookEnds, local restaurants, and at the sap houses. 
  • Enjoy a Maple Syrup Tasting Contest at the Town Hall both Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm. Choose your favorite! Yankee Farmer’s Market will have free samples and family farm activities.
  • There are lots more family activities around town: Story time at 10:30 am and a maple-themed bake sale and mini book sale at Pillsbury Free Library; the art of making maple syrup and children’s books to celebrate the season at Main Street Bookends Gallery. The Gallery also features the works of over 30 local artists.
  • At the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum see a traditional Native American method of turning sap into syrup. 
  • The NH Telephone Museum will be open.
 
  • When you’re hungry, dine on delicious food made with maple syrup at The Local, Reed’s North, Charlie Macs Pizzeria, and Café One East.  But leave room for a Fundraiser for the Friendly Freezer with a Spaghetti Dinner Saturday night put on by Reed’s North at the Warner Town Hall from 5 pm to 7 pm.

1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesdays and by appointment.
During the summer, the Office is also open
9:00 am to Noon on Saturdays.
