Warner Historical Society Collections

The Collections at the Warner Historical Society consist of some 200 books covering Warner and surrounding town histories, regimental histories, books by past and present local authors, pamphlets about local events and organizations, and gazetteers; town and school reports, and early tax records; 18th, 19th, and 20th Century manuscripts, personal and official military records; Civil War letters, personal diaries and social calendars; miscellaneous deeds and bills of sale; cemetery records from the 31 Warner cemeteries; vital, church and baptismal records; some early family Bibles; genealogical files on Warner families (see under Genealogy); 19th and 20th Century adult and children clothing; textiles, quilts, and craft-work from the late 19th Century; photographs and postcards of people, places, houses, and events in Warner history; portraits of early settlers and paintings by local artists; early maps of the town and state; broadsides and posters announcing events and programs; scrapbooks of newspaper clippings and magazine articles; a few copies of the Kearsarge Independent newspaper; and artifacts produced and collected by the citizens of Warner.
