Scott Solsky

 

Scott has been performing throughout New England for nearly 20 years.  Though he primarily identifies as a modern jazz guitarist, he plays a variety of styles of music, including traditional jazz, funk, rock, and bluegrass.  Scott is the leader of the Scott Solsky Quartet (modern jazz) and the Root Guild (instrumental funk), and can also be found playing with the Blue Ribbon All-Star Band (rock), Donkilo! Afrofunk Orkestra, as well as working as a side-man for jazz musicians around New Hampshire.   In addition to his performance career, Scott has also been a music educator for the past 12 years, and is currently the Music Program Coordinator for the Shaker Road School in Concord, NH.  When he is not performing and teaching, he is the Music Coordinator for the Concord Arts Market, a weekly, outdoor market in Concord, NH.  Most recently, Scott has become the Executive Director of the Granite State Music Festival, a two day music festival to take place in Concord NH in the summer of 2012.  Scott lives in Concord with his lovely wife and his three children.
